What is an Implant?
Implant is nothing but an artificial root made of titanium. The implant has approximately the size of the natural root.
What are Implant-Retained Dentures?
Implant supported dentures in Prague are simply dentures that are attached to the gums by the use of implants. Implants are placed into the bone and the prosthesis is attached to them by special bar-shape connectors.
Why is Implant-Supported Denture better than the traditional denture?
Dentures on Implants are much more stable than the traditional ones. What is more, the chewing forced are transmitted to the bone. This prevents bone disappearance, and consequently provides an excellent fit denture for a long period of time. Thank to the Implant-Supported Denture you will gain comfort, because the implants feel just like the natural teeth.
Treatment Time:
First Visit: installation of implants in the bone
Sutures are removed after 14 days (can be done in any dental office)
Second Visit: placing of collars on the implants
Third Visit: impressions for the Denture are taken
Fourth Visit: Denture installation
After Treatment:
The fixed prosthesis should be worn continuously for two weeks. During this time the patient is asked to eat only soft foods and avoid exercising.
